Foreclosure Intervention Calls Procedure

Call your mortgage company as soon as you know you are going to have trouble paying your mortgage. You should first call the customer service or collections department.

Try to determine whether or not you can afford to live in your home. If your financial problem is a temporary set back and you just need time to get caught up, your mortgage company should work with you. If customer service or collections is non-responsive, then call the loss mitigation department. They should have work out options that will help you get back on your feet.
